I'm James Davisson. I grew up in the evangelical wing of the church, the son of pastors in the Salvation Army (yes, it's a church denomination). It was and is a moderately conservative place, and I have more or less left it behind as an adult for more progressive parts of the church. I started this blog with some Salvation Army friends in order to discuss progressive Christian ideas with them. While they've since moved on to bigger and better things, I'm keeping it going by inviting guests on to write when I don't have the time.
